Accident Reporting
Either a mobile app that has fields specific to accident reporting or telematics data collected to provide insight on a vehicles motion before during and after an accidents.
API - Application Programming Interface
Term used to describe a method to share securely data over the Internet.
Battery Backup
A battery that operates a GPS device when the main power is not available. This can be a "last gasp" battery or a larger, longer lasting battery. Last gasp means it reports 1-2 times after being unplugged to show when and where it was unplugged before the battery dies.
Battery Tracker
A GPS device that runs on batteries only. The batteries may be rechargeable, replaceable, or disposable.
Curved Logic
aka Smart Algorithm, Curved Logic or Logging is Geotab’s patented method of moving data efficiently from vehicle to server. Dashcam AI
Artificial intelligence (AI) is used in some video solutions to automatically analyze video content for unsafe driving behavior.
